Programme for this Holy Week concert :
Come and listen to Antonio Vivaldi’s Stabat Mater, Johann Sebastian Bach’s aria ‘Erbarme dich’ from St Matthew Passion, Marin Marais’s passacaglia on the theme of La Folia for traverso, and a concerto for strings by Antonio Vivaldi.
Isabelle Everarts, mezzo-soprano, will sing these two masterpieces from the Baroque repertoire, accompanied by Laure Stehlin on traverso (Baroque transverse flute), the Baroque string ensemble La Penserosa conducted by American violinist Maïa Silberstein, and Xavier Deprez on organ and harpsichord.
