On Tuesdag 24th November at 15:30hrs – Mannenensemble De Urker Mans Formatie.

The programme is structured to ensure constant interaction between the organists, the male ensemble and the audience:
1. Opening and Organ Improvisations: Martin Mans and Martin Zonnenberg often open the programme together or as soloists, performing monumental arrangements and improvisations on the main organ. They play solo, take turns, or play four-handed.


2. Performances by the Urker Mans Formatie: Under the direction of Martin Mans, this twelve-member male ensemble performs a mix of subdued and powerful sacred songs, often accompanied by Martin Zonnenberg on the organ or piano.
3. Mass Sing-along: A large part of the afternoon is set aside for communal singing. One of the organists provides close guidance to the audience to fill the church or cathedral completely with sound.
4. Moment of reflection: In between, there is often a brief word of connection or reflection, for example by a travelling minister (such as Rev. Hans van Ark on the Advent tours).
