Brussels Philharmonic Orchestra concert
Eight centuries of history have shaped the Cathedral of Saints Michael and Gudula, an architectural masterpiece where past and present come together to celebrate the infinite at the heart of stone. Music has always played a vital role here: its vaults have echoed for centuries with prayers, as well as concerts that convey emotion, spirituality, and a sense of communion. Enhanced by this majestic acoustics, the musicians of the Brussels Philharmonic Orchestra, the singers of Lassenne Vocale, soloists Marie-Noëlle de Callataÿ (soprano), Cécile Latschenko (mezzo-soprano), Denzil Delaere (tenor), Charles Dekeyser (bass), and conductor David Navarro Turres will perform selections from several magnificent works:
- Beethoven (Egmont, op 8),
- Rachmaninov ( Bogoroditse Devo, from “All-Night Vigil” op. 37 ),
- Burchard (Where Are you),
- Mozart (Great Mass in C Minor, K427)
