Music has always played a vital role here: its vaults have echoed for centuries with prayers, as well as concerts that convey emotion, spirituality, and a sense of communion. His expressive<br\/>musicality and profound vision of the work have earned him the esteem of musicians and audiences<br\/>alike, who regularly highlight \u2018the strength of his conducting\u2019, \u2018the richness of his nuances\u2019 and \u2018the<br\/>emotional coherence\u2019 of his artistic approach. <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Artistic director of the Brussels Philharmonic Orchestra (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.bpho.be\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">www.bpho.be<\/a>), the Brussels Philharmonic<br\/>Chorus and the chamber vocal ensemble Serenata Vocale, he is also principal conductor of the Wien<br\/>Akustik Symphonie.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Winner of the Prix de la F\u00e9d\u00e9ration Wallonie-Bruxelles and the Prix du Conservatoire National du<br\/>Chili, he is developing an international career in Europe, Latin America and Asia.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As a guest conductor, David Navarro-Turres has collaborated with many prestigious orchestras: the<br\/>National Orchestra of Belgium, the EST OUEST ensemble, the Ensemble Confluences, the El Sistema<br\/>Belgium Orchestra, the Brussels Choral Society, the Brussels Chamber Choir, the Euro-Persian Art<br\/>Orchestra, the Chilean Chamber Orchestra, the La Serena, Concepci\u00f3n and Antofagasta Symphony<br\/>Orchestras, the China Hong Kong Symphony, the Royal Conservatory of Brussels Symphony<br\/>Orchestra, the HKU Utrecht Conservatory Orchestra, the St Petersburg Symphony Orchestra, the<br\/>Commonwealth Symphony Orchestra, the Pazardjik Symphony Orchestra, the Cam\u00e9ra Lirica, as well<br\/>as on tour in China with the Wien Akustik Symphonie.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Born in Antofagasta (Chile), David Navarro-Turres began conducting at the age of fifteen, leading the<br\/>Youth Symphony Orchestra of the Liceo Experimental Art\u00edstico.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">ipl\u00f4m\u00e9 de la Modern Contemporary Music School, du Conservatoire National de l\u2019Universit\u00e9 du Chili et du Conservatoire Royal de Bruxelles, il s\u2019est perfectionn\u00e9 au cours de masterclasses de direction \u00e0 Zurich avec David Zinman et le Tonhalle Orchestra, \u00e0 Londres avec Benjamin Zander et le London Masterclass Orchestra, ainsi qu\u2019\u00e0 Saint-P\u00e9tersbourg avec Guerassim Voronkov et le St Petersburg Symphony Orchestra.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In <strong>2017<\/strong>, he conducted Goran Bregovi\u0107&#8217;s Three Letters from Sarajevo at the opening concert of the<br\/>BALKAN TRAFIK Festival, in the presence of the composer.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In <strong>2018<\/strong>, he conducted the Brussels Philharmonic Orchestra in the show Brel Symphonique at Forest<br\/>National (Brussels), then in Ghent and Antwerp.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In <strong>2022<\/strong>, he opened the Festival of Sacred Music as part of the Mons International Contemporary<br\/>Music Festival with the Ensemble Confluences.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">That same year, he conducted the Belgian tour of the operetta Bluebeard, made several recordings<br\/>with the Brussels Philharmonic Orchestra and actively promoted contemporary music, presenting<br\/>numerous works by Belgian composers each season.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">His performances are characterised by <strong>infectious energy,<\/strong> <strong>stylistic precision<\/strong> and a <strong>constant search for<br\/>musical and human unity<\/strong> between the performers.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In October, he made his debut with the Royal Music of the Guides of Belgium, and in November, with<br\/>the Qatar Philharmonic Orchestra..<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"has-luminous-vivid-orange-color has-text-color has-link-color has-medium-font-size wp-elements-781b4dcc3c14ca56b1c325c471017ed1 wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n<p class=\"has-luminous-vivid-orange-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-4a8b107ba93e06aa5fa23c496fc10a3e wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Eight centuries of history have shaped the Cathedral of Saints Michael and Gudula, an architectural masterpiece where past and present come together to celebrate the infinite at the heart of stone.
