Erik Van Nevel, one of its foremost experts, has chosen to illustrate this by conducting the Currende ensemble in a performance of the Missa Sanctae Gudilae, composed in 1745 by Charles-Joseph van Helmont (1715-1790), who served as chapel master of the collegiate church from 1741 to 1777.
