Schedule of Eucharistic Celebrations

Every weekday, Monday to Friday, a mass is celebrated at 12:30 pm in the Notre-Dame chapel.

On weekends, services are held in the nave, with organ and cantors.

The Masses on Saturday at 5:30 pm and on Sunday at 9:30 am are in French, whereas the Mass at 11 am is bilingual (French and Dutch). The liturgy is accompanied by a choir :

The Gregorian ensemble Voces Desuper, directed by Gunther Vandeven
The Currende choir, directed by Erik Van Nevel, at the Easter Vigil, Pentecost, All Saints’ Day, and Midnight Mass at Christmas.

During July and August,Musical Sundays” are organized: every Sunday during the 11 am mass, choirs from outside the cathedral, both Belgian and foreign, enhance the service and perform a Mass and motets from the sacred polyphonic repertoire.

The repertoire ranges from Gregorian to Renaissance polyphony, as well as from Baroque to modern times

The sacred polyphonic repertoire and Gregorian chant are accompanied by the two titular organists, Bart Jacobs and Xavier Deprez.

  • Monday to Friday from 12 noon to 2 pm
  • Saturday from 3 pm to 5 pm and
  • Sunday from 2 pm to 4 pm (several languages available).

Outside these hours, it is also possible to receive the sacrament of reconciliation upon request at the Deanery at
