Chapel of the Holy Sacrament

In this chapel at the foot of the high altar, a plaque bearing the inscription “Monumentum Belgii gubernatorum” marks the burial place of Archduke Albert and Archduchess Isabella,
Governors of the Netherlands (1598-1633), together with Prince Charles of Lorraine, Governor (1744-1780). The chapel was de-consecrated in 2000 so as to house a large part of the Cathedral treasury.
