SUMMARY:BACH AD MERIDIEM
DESCRIPTION:\nBach ad Meridiem\nSaturdays 13, 20 and 27 June and 4 July 2026 at 12 noon\nDo you like Bach?\nIf the answer is ‘yes’, then the ‘Bach ad Meridiem’ concert series is just the thing for you! Four concerts will take place on Saturdays 13, 20 and 27 June and 4 July here at the Cathedral of Saints Michael and Gudula in Brussels.\nFor the third year running, the Ars in Cathedrali association is presenting this series of organ concerts devoted exclusively to Johann Sebastian Bach.\nFrom 12.00 pm to 12.45 pm, the German composer will be celebrated by organists Ben Van Espen, Charlène Bertholet, Annelies Focquaert and Momoyo Kokubu.\nThe concerts will take place in the choir of the cathedral, which houses the organ built by the Brussels organ builder Patrick Collon in 1977; this instrument is particularly well suited to Baroque music, including, of course, the works of Johann Sebastian Bach.\nThis magnificent instrument is inspired by the sound of the organs built during Bach’s lifetime by Gottfried Silbermann (1683–1753), which are located in Saxony and Thuringia,\nThe “Bach ad Meridiem” series offers a unique opportunity to hear the works of Johann Sebastian Bach played on an instrument that does them justice.\n \nTickets: click on the name to book tickets. Admission €10, free for under-18s. \n13.06 Ben Van Nespen ( https://www.billetweb.fr/bach-ad-meridiem-ben-van-espen )\n20.06 Charlène Bertholet ( https://www.billetweb.fr/bach-ad-meridiem-charlene-bertholet )\n27.06 Annelies Focquaert ( https://www.billetweb.fr/bach-ad-meridiem-annelies-focquaert )\n04.07 Momoyo Kokubu ( https://www.billetweb.fr/bach-ad-meridiem-momoyo-kokubu )\n \n
