His expressivemusicality and profound vision of the work have earned him the esteem of musicians and audiencesalike, who regularly highlight ‘the strength of his conducting’, ‘the richness of his nuances’ and ‘theemotional coherence’ of his artistic approach. \n\nArtistic director of the Brussels Philharmonic Orchestra (www.bpho.be ( http://www.bpho.be )), the Brussels PhilharmonicChorus and the chamber vocal ensemble Serenata Vocale, he is also principal conductor of the WienAkustik Symphonie.\n\nWinner of the Prix de la Fédération Wallonie-Bruxelles and the Prix du Conservatoire National duChili, he is developing an international career in Europe, Latin America and Asia.\n\nAs a guest conductor, David Navarro-Turres has collaborated with many prestigious orchestras: theNational Orchestra of Belgium, the EST OUEST ensemble, the Ensemble Confluences, the El SistemaBelgium Orchestra, the Brussels Choral Society, the Brussels Chamber Choir, the Euro-Persian ArtOrchestra, the Chilean Chamber Orchestra, the La Serena, Concepción and Antofagasta SymphonyOrchestras, the China Hong Kong Symphony, the Royal Conservatory of Brussels SymphonyOrchestra, the HKU Utrecht Conservatory Orchestra, the St Petersburg Symphony Orchestra, theCommonwealth Symphony Orchestra, the Pazardjik Symphony Orchestra, the Caméra Lirica, as wellas on tour in China with the Wien Akustik Symphonie.\n\nBorn in Antofagasta (Chile), David Navarro-Turres began conducting at the age of fifteen, leading theYouth Symphony Orchestra of the Liceo Experimental Artístico.\n\niplômé de la Modern Contemporary Music School, du Conservatoire National de l’Université du Chili et du Conservatoire Royal de Bruxelles, il s’est perfectionné au cours de masterclasses de direction à Zurich avec David Zinman et le Tonhalle Orchestra, à Londres avec Benjamin Zander et le London Masterclass Orchestra, ainsi qu’à Saint-Pétersbourg avec Guerassim Voronkov et le St Petersburg Symphony Orchestra.\n\nIn 2017, he conducted Goran Bregović’s Three Letters from Sarajevo at the opening concert of theBALKAN TRAFIK Festival, in the presence of the composer.\n\nIn 2018, he conducted the Brussels Philharmonic Orchestra in the show Brel Symphonique at ForestNational (Brussels), then in Ghent and Antwerp.\n\nIn 2022, he opened the Festival of Sacred Music as part of the Mons International ContemporaryMusic Festival with the Ensemble Confluences.\n\nThat same year, he conducted the Belgian tour of the operetta Bluebeard, made several recordingswith the Brussels Philharmonic Orchestra and actively promoted contemporary music, presentingnumerous works by Belgian composers each season.\n\nHis performances are characterised by infectious energy, stylistic precision and a constant search formusical and human unity between the performers.\n\nIn October, he made his debut with the Royal Music of the Guides of Belgium, and in November, withthe Qatar Philharmonic Orchestra..\n\n\n\n\n
